Kellie North
Born in 1975 in Queensland, Australia, I am known for my vivid, conceptual, feminine and evocative fine art photographs.
My images are said to blur the lines between photography and art with my use of light, colour, and texture.
Since graduating from The Photographic Institute with a Diploma of Professional Photography in 2014 I found my confidence and voice as an artist, merging traditional photography with digital artistry techniques.
I have always been inspired by dance and movement, both which feature heavily in my work.
I am proud to have had my work published both nationally and internationally in industry and interior design magazines and online platforms.
In 2018 I was the honoured recipient of the Lethbridge Gallery 'Peoples Choice Award' and in 2017 was awarded a 2nd place in a Portrait prize with Art world Studio Gallery, both achievements I am extremely proud of. My work has also been showcased on the hit TV show The Block in 2019 which allowed for great exposure nationally.
I spent many years abroad studying, working, traveling and taking photos for myself and travel publications. When it was time to return home I settled in Currumbin on the Gold Coast, where I still reside today with my husband and two children.
